Marian Rivera’s manager responds to rumored feud brewing between his ward and Katrina Halili

MANILA, Philippines - Talent manager Popoy Caritativo has defended Marian Rivera from Katrina Halili, who allegedly alluded to his ward in her vague tweets posted last week about her "sama ng loob" and someone who's "insecure" of her.

In a text statement sent to PEP and posted on April 16, Caritativo claimed, "As far as Marian is concerned, masaya ang environment sa taping.

"If Katrina is always in a bad mood because of her pregnancy at ayaw niyang nakikita ang director, any of the staff or co-stars niya, and she wants to quit the show, she should just talk to management about it like any professional actor would do," he was quoted as saying.

On Friday evening, Katrina went on Twitter to vent her sentiments starting off with, "Sana mamatay na c Emmy sa mybeloved!" referring to her character who plays antagonist to "My Beloved" co-star Marian's Sharina.

"Ewan ko ba.. Nachachakan na nga ako sa itsura ko, at katawan ko ngayon Kung baket may naiinsecure pa din saken," she wrote in another tweet.

Katrina is 17 weeks pregnant with her and boyfriend Kris Lawrence's first baby.

"Sana nga may powers ako na dedmahin, kaso Kung nakikita mo at nakakatrabaho, nakakaharap,at nakakaeksena. Ang hirap. Wawa naman baby ko," she added.

"Naguguluhan Lang kasi talaga ako Sino ba ang buntis samen. Sya? O ako? Hay... Life," Katrina posted.

The sexy actress did not drop any names when asked by her followers who she was referring to, only hinting, "alam mo na 5yrs ago. Nangyari na to."

This then led to the speculation that she was referring to Marian, with whom she was said to have a dispute while on set of their teleserye "Marimar" some five years ago.

When a follower directly asked her, "magkaaway nanaman kayo ni marian?" she replied, "oi ano ka ba. SOBRANG BAET nun Tao. Sabi Nya..."

"Psssssssst! No name drop pls. Baka simikat, sikat na nga," Katrina said in another tweet.

Katrina later admitted in a post addressed to a follower, "Masama Lang talaga ang loob ko.pero ok naman ako. Kailangan ko LNG ilabas Baka mag suffer baby ko."

The same PEP article, citing "dalawang sources na nakakasalamuha ng dalawang aktres," reported two instances that seemed to back the rumor involving the two. One was that Marian allegedly failed to say goodbye to Katrina when she left the birthday party of veteran actress and another "My Beloved" co-star Nova Vill this month because Katrina had supposedly covered her head-"nagtalukbong," the article described.

The other was that Katrina allegedly actually slapped Marian across the face in one of the scenes they taped for their series despite director Dominic Zapata's instruction to fake it.

"Hindi kaya pinaglilihian niya si Marian?" one of PEP's sources mused.

Meanwhile, perhaps in an attempt to lighten up, the actress posted also on Friday, "Ok guys! Stop na sa bad news... R u ready sa good news naman. Tama na ang nakakastress na bagay. Excited na ako sa good news."

This was followed by her revelation that her first child is a girl, and that she and Kris have decided to name her Kristina.

"Happy na ako. Stop na sa negative Baka mahawa sa ugali nun baby ko," she tweeted.

Katrina's camp has yet to air their side in response to the statement of Marian's manager as of this writing.
